There are a variety of opportunities to become involved in campus life. There are student groups associated with nursing, and over other 160 student organizations available for student involvement. Academic and honorary groups, special interest groups, student activities programming, student government, political organizations, sports clubs, religious and service groups, and national fraternities and sororities are types of TCU campus organizations. This wide range of organizations is provided to expand new interests, enhance the academic experience, develop leadership skills and meet new friends. All student involvement programs challenge individuals to practice new skills. It is important to learn to set policy, make decisions, lead and follow others. In essence, student organizations are about leadership that TCU believes can be taught in classes and refined by experience. Nursing students are encouraged to be involved in some aspect of campus life to enhance intellectual growth and foster lifelong friendships.
